Trolleys Are Reappearing in Many North American Cities

The street railway industry has almost come full circle. It has seen its high and low, and is now on the upswing again. Trolley lines are being built once more, by city and regional transit authorities, in various parts of the United States and Canada.

The modern trolleys that are being built today, are called LRV’s or Light Rail Vehicles. It has been re-discovered, that trolleys can move large groups of people, very rapidly and efficiently, from one place to another. Also, Light Rail Vehicles (trolleys) produce very little noise or air pollution.
